Miniature Gardens, Maximum Feel-Good Factor

The best things comes in small packages, or so the saying goes; and when it comes to mini-gardens that old saying holds. Such a joy to construct! Our crew came together one Thursday evening to build three tiny gardens from scratch using recycling, salvage and scrap alongside mindfully foraged wild flowers and donated seedlings. We wanted to say, 'It costs nothings to start a garden' and 'It costs nothing to be a community'. In fact, it is often in being in community that we are able to construct things together, creatively and collaboratively for free or at next to no cost.
Through sharing our individual passion, knowledge, skills and spare resources (including simply our 'time'), we can create the most brilliant things. Room to Be is a testament to that. As is Grow Dundee and the Community Garden Network who organised the Mini-Garden event with the V&A on Saturday 21st June. With mocktail making, floral crowns, paper-pot and planting, all our mini-gardens were on fine display on the plaza. Thank you to the organisers at Grow Dundee for this opportunity. And thank you to the V&A for supporting Dundee's community gardens!
