Room to Be takes the privacy of our audience, volunteers and supporters very seriously. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about what information we hold about you. This Privacy Policy outlines how your personal information is collected, used and treated.
The information we collect
Subscribing to our mailing list allows us access to your name and email address for the purpose of communication updates. You can opt out of these whenever you wish and your personal details will be deleted from our subscribers list. We will never sell your personal data.
We may also collect personal information through customer evaluations and any other forms that you may complete, as well as any e-mails that you send us.
We have put in place appropriate safeguards (both in terms of our procedures and the technology we use) to keep your personal information as secure as possible.

We also use this information to better understand our audience attendance and participants, so we know what activities and events our audience prefer to enable us to continue to develop. When requested (e.g. when you sign up to our mailing list), we will use your personal information to inform you about forthcoming Room to Be events and activities.

Use of photographs / Videos
We may have a photographer/videographer taking images/videos of people at Room to Be meet ups and events. Some of the resulting images/videos are used on our website, social media and in print to promote the activities of Room to Be.
We take every measure to ensure the subjects of the photographs/videos grant permission for the images/videos to be used by us for promotional purposes, at the time the photograph/video is taken.
Should you believe that an image/video should not be used please contact us and we will remove it.
Maintaining your personal information
We will store your personal information until such time as you advise us you no longer wish it to be held, for instance by unsubscribing from our mailing list.
Any objections you make to any processing of your data under the terms described above will be stored against your record on our system to ensure we can comply with your requests.
You also have the right to ask for a copy of the information held by us in our records and have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in your information.
Consent
Room to Be will only retain your information if you actively opt in to regular communications eg. our mailing list.
By opting in and disclosing your personal information to us, you will be consenting to the collection, storage and processing of your personal information by Room to Be.
