There was blue sky and sunshine galore at the Biodiversity Bash, which was kindly hosted by Ninewells Community Garden. After taking a walk around the garden, admiring the abundance of colour in bloom and chatting to a few friendly faces, Emile and I very happily ended up in the tent serving up FREE(!) cake. As if the place wasn’t already fast becoming one of my favourite spots in the city.

Fuelled by delicious homemade scones, Anna and I went along to try our hand at Gelli printing with the DCA, who had set up creative camp in the kitchen garden. There were some additional kid-friendly activities on hand too, which we absolutely got involved with - who’s passing up the chance to make their own insect peg? Not me. It even flaps its wings!

What a treat to catch up with some of our members over this weekend in such lush and serene surroundings. I’m plotting more experimentation with printing techniques already…
