Inklings - Room to Be.png

A growing community of friendship

This year our gardening methods are a little slap-dash and haphazard with a 'carve out some space and bung it in the ground' approach. But whilst our onions may bolt and our brassicas might fall to the pests, we are at the very least growing in numbers. From just one person, there is now a membership of 20 with a regular and dedicated cohort coming every week to our Green Team sessions to pluck out weeds, water the crops and plant out whatever plants we can conjure. Room to Be was nothing but an idea six months ago. Now we have a committee, a steering group, a regular timetable of events and a lot of passion and care. Even if nothing survived in our garden this year, we will have grown a beautiful thing.
